Why we chose breathability over "Non-Iron" chemicals.
In the hills of northern Tuscany sits Barga—a town defined by its resilience and its unique, sharp silhouette against the Apuan Alps. It is the namesake for our best-selling shirt, a piece designed to be as versatile as the landscape it hails from.

The Barga is defined by its collar. We engineered the collar to stay standing all day, ensuring it maintains its "stand" throughout the day. Whether anchored by a silk tie for a formal setting or tucked under a heavy crew-neck knit for a weekend in the city, the cutaway collar remains sharp. It is the bridge between formal tradition and modern ease.
The Truth About "Non-Iron"
At Vestiti, we made a conscious decision never to label our shirts "non-iron."
Most "non-iron" shirts on the market are treated with ammonia or formaldehyde resins to prevent wrinkling. These chemicals act as a barrier, stripping the cotton of its natural breathability and soft-hand feel. For us, comfort and the ability for your skin to breathe are the absolute priorities.
Instead, we sourced a 100% smooth cotton poplin for the Barga. It is naturally resilient. While it isn’t a "chemical" non-iron, it is what we call Easy-Care.
The 3-Minute Rule: Because of the quality of the poplin weave, the Barga requires no steam and no water to look crisp. A simple dry iron for three minutes is all it takes to return it to its original, sharp state.
